Hej, my name is Nelson, a Colombian photographer based in Sweden. I was a professional dancer for 20 years and a choreographer for 4 years, which taught me to understand movement, timing, emotion, and storytelling in a way that continues to shape my creative vision today.

When I’m photographing dance, I’m not an observer on the outside.  I feel as though I'm part of the piece itself - moving with the rhythm, anticipating moments, and capturing emotion from within. Through my photography, I aim to translate that connection into images which preserve not only what was seen in a performance, but also what was experienced and felt.
